Liverpool - Art galleries and the search for squid!

Today we ventured to Liverpool to visit some galleries and also try to buy a squid, we were half successful in our mission! We visited the Tate Liverpool and Fact gallery, viewing the ongoing Constellations exhibition, the Matisse in focus special and the sensory instillation Ryoichi Kurokawa: unfold.

With three huge connecting screens showing an eight minute video of trippy space inspired visuals coupled with an ear splitting soundtrack of bass, static and white noise, this was an immensely intense and extremely unnerving instillation! The video doesn't do it justice at all, being there in person and experiencing it first hand was a whole different level.

We didn't do so well on the squid front, trying some fishmongers in town and even taking a train and long walk out to Liverpool's Meat & Fish Market, when we eventually found it, it was closed. We came back empty handed but the trip was worth it for the gallery visits.
